Whimsical Children’s Books Inspired by Nature and Wonder

A story of friendship, change and letting go.

Arriving in 2026
Fox & Butterfly is my debut illustrated children’s book, coming in 2026. Rooted in nature, memory and the quiet magic of childhood, the story is told through tender imagery and a gentle rhythm—an invitation to slow down, notice the small moments, and remember how deeply connection can shape us.

  • Genre: Whimsical storytelling with emotional depth

  • A read-aloud story for children and adults

  • Ages 4–10+

Upcoming Stories

More little adventures are coming soon! I'm busy imagining, writing and sketching new stories that I hope will bring big smiles to little (and big) readers everywhere.

Desert Boy

A wild horse with a restless heart begins a quiet search for friendship in the vast desert. Along the way, he discovers is a bond as magical as the world around him.

Snowgoose & Raven

The snowgoose carries winter’s breath; the raven holds the memory of storms. When their paths cross beneath a listening sky, an unexpected friendship begins.

Glimmer

Glimmer, a tiny glass frog with a bright glow, lights up the rainforest pool each night. When a storm darkens the water, he uses his inner light to guide lost creatures home.

About the Author

I’m Victoria Lee, a fine artist, author, and illustrator. I create gentle, hand-illustrated stories inspired by nature, memory, and the kind of moments that invite children (and adults) to slow down and stay awhile.

I’m endlessly drawn to art, the natural world, and all creatures—especially the small, quiet ones that tend to go unnoticed. I’ve long been inspired by Native American ways of being, particularly the deep respect for land, story, and interconnected life, which quietly shapes my art and creative process.

Little Hearts Press is a space for updates, stories, and connection as new books and ideas take shape.
